Acclaimed young adult author and TV personality David Walliams is no longer with his publisher HarperCollins UK, the company has said.
A spokesman for the publisher commented: "After careful consideration, and with the guidance of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing future works by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the move was made after an inquiry regarding reports of conduct deemed unsuitable involving women.
The publisher has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, stating: "It is not our policy to discuss internal matters."
Walliams ranks among Britain's most prolific writers for young readers, having sold more than 60 million copies internationally in five dozen languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins in 2008.
Several of his books, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.
To date, he has released in excess of 40 works altogether, including a Christmas book named *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins last autumn.
He first rose to fame on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE several years ago in recognition of his work for the charitable sector and arts community.
The publisher's decision comes after the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO this past October.
