And the 25-year-old Premier League striker did it in remarkable fashion, scoring 16 goals in eight World Cup preliminary games - finding the back of the net consistently in all those encounters.
This positions him as the top scorer in 2026 World Cup preliminary stage in all continents.
And his squad's 4-1 win in Italy on Sunday, with Haaland netting two goals, means they will be competing in next summer's World Cup in the American continent.
The striker commented afterwards: "I'm happy, but mostly relieved. There's considerable expectation and factors, and I experience it. But it's exciting."
It will be just their fourth World Cup, and their initial international competition since Euro 2000.
